Whats The Law On Importing Airsoft Rifles Into The United States?

Im a fan of the anime series Golgo 13, which is about a professional assassin. They have a airsoft version of his rifle in Japan that i want to order, and i was wondering if anyone knew what the laws was for importing airsoft weapons. Especially airsoft rifles.

I’ve ordered overseas fine, nothing special you have to do, and if there is, the website will take care of it. The orange tip must be on, and the trademarks must be puttied over. Metals guns have been fine for me. I think I actually know what rifle you’re talking about. I remember seeing that somewhere, but you should be fine.

For airsoft rifles, as far as I know, customs only wants the rifle itself to abide by U.S. law, which indicated (last time I checked on sizing) at least 6mm of Orange on the muzzle of any airsoft gun. Since Japan doesn’t have that law, the company will have to Paint an orange tip onto the rifle prior to shipping, If not, Customs may seize it or put one on themselves. Also, just incase you didnt know, you’ll never get a fullmetal gun from japan, since Japanese law restricts Japanese citizens from owning fake guns that are metal.
