No, don’t listen to the idiot that answered 1st. If you have 40GB, 80GB Core, or 160GB PS3 then it won’t play PS2 games. 20GB, 60GB & old 80GB play PS2 games. The ones that play PS2 games have 4USB ports, and with the exception of the 20GB they have memory card slots under the “flap” on left side of system over USB ports. The other systems that don’t play PS2 games except the 20GB have 2USB ports and no memory card readers (with exception of 20GB since it plays PS2 games). They removed the hardware within system that allows PS3 to read PS2 data, so you CAN’T possibly play PS2 games on newer PS3’s. And you CAN’T play bootleg games on it either, only option you have is PS2 Emulator.

There really is no point to play your PS2 games on a PS3 by connecting it to the PS3. First of all, I don’t even think it is possible. Second of all, why not just play it on the PS2 instead? You still own one don’t you?

Wow that’s a first. Daisy chain a PS2 to a PS3?
No. There is no possible way to get your current PS3 to play PS2 games. No software in the world will help.
Use a PS2 to play PS2 games.
