I want to buy such a gun for airsoft but I’m worried about the danger it involves. Please answer the above questions if you own a gun and know the facts. I’m planing on buying a 300 FPS airsoft gun.

i doubt it could kill a small bird (unless it was a one and a hundred shot to a vunerable area).. but yes they are dangerous.. there are very strict regulations to what face and eye protection you need to wear on a santioned field… a shot to the eye could blind someone easily.. and dont think a pair of sunglasses will protect you.. use a mask specially design to take airsoft or paintball shots and nothing less. as far as body shots go.. they will sting but i doubt they will break the skin (ive seen it happen on high fps guns but not on 300fps) but i wouldnt say its impossible

first of all in Australia airsoft is completely illegal. Aussie law classifies Air and BB guns as “Category A” weapons, placing then in the same class as break-action shotguns and rimfire rifles, and acquiring a licence to possess (e.g.) a pistol requires a rigorous process of police background checks. You must also have a legitimate reason and be able to prove that reason before you are allowed possession of a firearm, regardless if either airsoft or real steel.
Anyone found in Australia possessing an unlicensed airsoft pistol faces the same charge as a person who unlawfully possesses an actual firearm.
and yes, if you shoot a guy in the eye, they will get seriouse damage.
