Hexic is the new puzzle hit from the original creator of Tetris. In this new puzzle classic, you’ll have to rotate groups of three hexes to form clusters of like-colored tiles. Use bonus pieces and starflowers to boost your score and discover new ways to play. But watch out for bombs — clear them before they explode or it’s game over! Use starflower pieces to make another flower and earn the elusive black pearl. Make a cluster or flower out of black pearls to win the game. Are you up for the challenge?

The graphics are dull, and the basic gameplay is difficult to understand. (I may have shouted, “SERIOUSLY! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? JUST TELL ME!” at the computer at one point.) Match-3 games need to be snappy-looking and easy to start (though not necessarily to win) to succeed, and this just doesn’t do it.
One noteworthy point: it has a color-blind friendly mode. More match/puzzle games should do this.

A disappointment.
I purchased this game from a discount bin, and I’m really glad I didn’t spend more money for it. The game, quite frankly, stinks.

Perhaps it is just me, but I had difficulty understanding how to play the game. I found the instructions inadequate but possibly with a little practice I will be able understand how to play it correctly.
I highly recommend Mumbo Jumbo games (the maker) especially Luxor, Luxor 2 and Luxor 3 whose instructions were available to read or print.
The price is great so it is worth a try!

I played the game on the Xbox360 so I was a little disappointed with this computer version. Just doesn’t have the same graphics and you don’t win trophies. So its just an ok game because you will eventually get bored with it.
